Alexander Goodall

Alex is a PhD student supervised by Prof Iain Todd & Prof Dan Allwood. His work is investigating the use of additive manufacturing and advanced powder processing to manufacture electric machines and their components, focussing on reduction and control of eddy currents in soft magnetic cores. 

Alex completed his masters in Mechanical engineering at the University of Nottingham in 2015 and has since worked in the automotive industry for Jaguar Land Rover, Triumph motorcycles and Royal Enfield. Alex joined the materials science and engineering department at the University of Sheffield in 2019.
