Dr. Razvan Ababei

Razvan is a PDRA working with Dr. Tom Hayward on the Leverhulme project “Neuromorphic Computation with Magnetic Domain Walls”. The aim of this project is to develop an infrastructure for numerical modeling to study the non-linear dynamics of domain walls in magnetic nanowires being suitable for neuromorphic computation.

Razvan joined in 2020 to FMM group for his first post-doctoral programme after he obtained the Ph.D. diploma at the University of York on atomistic spin dynamics studies of magnetic nanomaterials for Heat Assisted Magnetic Recording (HAMR). 

His expertise is in magnetism and magnetic properties with particular emphasis on numerical simulations and coding.
